Such important tips. I took an extra day off this summer (each week) to tackle filing, my kids' rooms etc and someone it didn't get done. i filled the time with the stuff I do on other days. It often seems like the things we are good at we schedule, I schedule exercise and food shopping etc. Maybe, as you said, it's that the things I am avoiding aren't important to me (but they should be). I may call in an expert.

There definitely were several dishes which did not contain nuts. The menu asks you to notify them if you have any food allergies so I am sure they wold be able to work with a nut allergy or intolerance.

Sounds yummy. Did you find a lot of nuts on the menu? Or were there nut-free options too?

Interesting. It's funny how those who are more particular, careful and proactive about what they eat are seen as fussy or picky. But i think we are smarter. We know more about what we eat, what our bodies need to eat and don't need. Whether it be avoidance or just listening to your body and what it likes & dislikes. It's not about being picky, it's about making healthier or smarter food choices!

Great post! People can be so possessive about communal things. I don't know if I would ever admit to such a thing to the point of asking someone to break their stride and move, seems a bit neurotic to me...
Don't get me wrong, I do understand her feelings regarding her favorite treadmill, I just don't think I would be bold enough to vocalize it.
I had a specific recumbent bike at my physical therapy place. They had 4 total and my reasons for liking the one that was my favorite was easily rationalized with practical things (more back support was a biggie for me)..... So I never did have to boot anyone off for taking my machine (instead my physical therapist kicked them off for me as he knew I needed the extra spine support..And I still felt a little bad as playground rules have always been "first come first served")

I can't walk (for exercise) without my MBT sneakers and an alpine walking stick/pole (for medical reasons), but thankfully I don't have to share them with anyone.
